One way Innovated Industrial Services, Inc. meets the diverse and changing needs of industry is by providing cost-effective modernization programs. We optimize production processes through the modification of existing equipment and facilities rather than by the purchase of new systems. The implementation of our programs have generated long lasting benefits for overall corporate safety and, in many cases, these programs have helped reduce our customer’s liability exposure significantly. It’s important to remember that just because you are upgrading your equipment or facility does not mean production processes will be interrupted. We integrate our operations into our customer’s normal production cycles, regularly scheduled shutdowns, and between operating shifts. Depending on the size of the project the overall delivery of our turn-key installations can be implemented within days or hours. Upon the completion of a modernization or rerating, the modifications and supporting structures are checked thoroughly for the new rated load and the changes are insured by a qualified engineer or the equipment manufacturer. The equipment is then tested in accordance with predetermined specifications with the new rated load and other upgrades being displayed. The final step of any modernization is to train all designated operators in the safe operation of the new machine and to ensure adherence to all applicable rules and regulations of operation.
Innovated’s modernization programs can be developed during emergency repairs at the customer’s request without interfering with the operation. The following details an example of one such incident where our team was called to perform an emergency repair and at the same time was able to provide a long-term plan to improve the existing machinery with minimal interruption to equipment operation:

The initial inspection of the forks identified heavy corrosion and deterioration which would warrant their replacement in the near future. As a second phase of the repair, our team sought to modernize the design by reinforcing the structure and adding anticorrosive elements.
